OT clicked on virus?
if you clicked and opened the virus, please stay off the internet until your fixed because every time you connect it is sending it to all in your address book :( there isnt a fix yet because it makes random named files. so far it looks like you may have to wipe your hard drive to get rid of it. -- http://www.kencofish.com Ken Arnold, 401-781-9642 cell 401-225-0556 Importer/Exporter of Goldfish,Koi,rare Predators Shipping to legal states/countries only! I have clicked on it to read and delete it but not downloaded anything.
Does this mean I have the virus? As long as you haven't opened any attachments, you're OK. They may have an
extension like .exe or .pif, NEVER open those! But just reading the message and deleting it should not be a problem. Tim "pixi" wrote in message ... I have clicked on it to read and delete it but not downloaded anything. Does this mean I have the virus? Pixi |

Thank you very much! I guess I don't have a virus. I have Norton and all
the options on the "how to be protected" are checked . I scanned and nothing showed. Also I notice that in Outlook Express in the box on the lower right it will say that I have received a lot more messages than it shows in my inbox. So does that mean that Norton is cleaning them out before they get into my inbox? Aint I brilliant? Thanks again. "tim chandler" wrote in message ... Thank you! I imagine I am virus free. Norton says I am and all of my
virus protection options in Norton are checked. As I said earlier, I notice in the lower righthand box of Outlook Express I am apparently getting a lot more messages that I see in my inbox. I assume Norton is cleaning them out. So maybe between my server who also screens them and NOrton I can be reasonably confident that I clean. If you have any doubts of whether or not you are infected go to
http://www.trendmicro.com/en/products/us/personal.htm and run Housecall on your computer. Even running Norton and Auto Update I STILL got nailed by this little bugger for the very reason you state. A million thanks. I ran Trend and had one infected file.
JS NOCLOSE. Norton said it was non-malicious but, since it was uncleanable, I deleted it. Hope I haven't wrecked the computer. I bought a Norton Security a few a days ago but can't get my computer to recogize the disc so I can't put it in. I have Windows XP. My husband has Windows ME. I just put it in there and it worked fine. Can't figure that one out. There has been something on my computer make a various noises. A shot, a barking dog, and a chord of music. Wonder if that was the virus. Don't know if it's gone or not. Well this is not the place for this conversation I guess so I'll knock it off for now. Thanks a bunch to all of you. Whatever is making those is noises is still present as the musical chord just sounded. Thanks again. "Gail Futoran" wrote in message ... "Dave Fouchey" wrote in message ...
