To fertilize or not ?
I live in North Central Pennsylvania (Zone 5). My pond is about 1000
gallons and ranges from 1' to 4' deep. It was built last summer. It contains 19 goldfish type fish, tadpoles, two small turtles and newts. The many plants consist of anacharis, iris, cattails, pennywort, water celery, primrose, creeping jenny, lobelis, two water lilies, and so on. Do I need to fertilize the plants or is that what the "critter manure" is for? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. |
To fertilize or not ?
I have decided that my lilies should always be fertilized and I've tried the critter poo route. I've been happy with all my other plants without fertilizer. This year I might have my first lotus to fertilize and I plan to fertilize it also. kathy :-) A HREF="http://www.onceuponapond.com/"Once upon a pond/A |
