Unfortunately I also have a 10" Pleco which seems to revel in disturbing the sand and consequently uprooting the plants in his attempts to get under everything. I wonder if putting a layer of silica sand and then a porous plastic mesh before the final layer of silica would help solve this problem. I could then plant into the top layer and the roots would hopefully work through the mesh into the bottom layer. Any thoughts on this or alternative suggestions - I don't really want to lose Pleco as he is such a character but.......... Best wishes Ron First thing I would try is to give the pleco a place to hide, a cave or something similar. -- - Charles - -does not play well with others |
Pleco uproots plants
He already has refuge under two large chunks of bogwood, but still seems to
want to excavate everthing in sight. Thanks for your thoughts Ron "Charles" wrote in message ...
