Low Ph help please..
 

The water Im using has a PH of only 7.6.. too low for my few month old
reeftank. It is advised not to keep depending on buffers like ph plus etc
and also I have to use a lot as tank is about 250 G.

One suggestion was to add some dead coral as decor and also crush some coral
and add to substrate- This seems logical as every water change lowers my ph
anyway and this may be a sound and stable method.

Will this be the right thing to do?

I will help all I can. PH is somewhat of a mystery to me but here we go.

First, I have an aragonite substrate. seems to help keep the PH at 8.0.
Second. I have always noticed my PH goes up when I:

A) do a water change
B keep Calcium at right level ~ 450 PPM
C) keep Magnesium at proper level.

I assumed your tank just not stablized yet. You can do some regular partial
water. This will refresh natural buffer and any trace element. If you want
to quick boost, try baking soda.

During the meantime, try find the source that may cause your pH to drop.
Uneaten food or waste
Metabolic waste
Excess CO2 due to lack of gas exchange
Nitric acid
