Boomer or anyone.. How often to use battery bubbler?
"RicSeyler" wrote in message . .. | If Ivan gets me, how often should I run my battery powered bubbler? | 1 hour on / 2 hours off? Or something similar? Or will it ramp up | as time goes on with no power? | | I'm kinda wanting to get a grasp on the minimum requirement | because of battery use. Batteries are always hard to get after | a storm. I have about 10 D cells stocked already. | | 44gal w/no sump SPS tank. | Sounds like you have the same style pump I have several of, I understand they will run for many hours, up to 12. With your current battery stock, you're ready for almost a week without power, and by then you'd have other larger concerns like the lack of filtration and out of control temperature. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. I agree with Billy, you may want to get some topical 3 % hydrogen peroxide just in case @ 1 oz / net 10 gal ever other day. MORE does not mean better !! Watch pH and ammonia . 3 treatments over 5 days, then I would stop unless on had an ORP meter or O2 test kit to monitor it. In general H2O2 ---- 2H + O2 -- Boomer Want to talk chemistry ?
