Spiraling Subunkin
When SO got home with our latest two shubunkins from the garden centre, I
noticed one looked not quite normal. This one apparently was picked by a member of staff. He (or she, they're only 2 inches young) seemed a bit mishappen and tadpole-ish, with what I assumed was a swimbladder problem. eg "standing up" to feed (almost vertical), floating around (but not vertically) frequently, and dorsal fin not always erect. Apart from that he eats normally and is sociable with the rest of the fish. I've just moved them indoors checking temp, water exchange, etc and now he's taken up spiralling ! It's not happening all the time but I wonder is he suffering ? Peter |
