All-Glass Modern Series Canopy - Room for VHOs in there?
I am planning a 120 reef ready aquarium. FOWLR for several months (at
least), but with ability to add inverts later on. I like the look of the AGA Modern Series furniture, but cannot find one to put hands-on and really check it out. The picture on the web site looks like there is a cross brace running from front to back in the center of the canopy. I had in mind to hang VHO fluorescent lights from the canopy top, but I wonder a) can the cross brace be removed, or is it low enough to allow the tubes to hang above it and b) is that canopy deep enough to allow the VHOs in the first place? |
It will be hard to find one period. It's my understanding that All-Glass has
discontinued that series altogether. I tried to order a 120 Modern Canopy from them for a customer and was told that it was discontinued. HTH, RandalB |
Well, I hope not. My LFS told me there was a maple wood version in stock,
but I could order the cherry. I wonder if they are on the way out, what is taking their place? Do you have any idea? Do you know the depth between the tank frame and the top? You may just get lucky on those finishes, I was looking for the oak finish and
there were none to be had from All-Glass. Not sure about the distance (Couldn't get one...) Give all-glass a call at (414) 421-9670. They should be able to help you out. I do know that the 48" VHO tubes won't fit with endcaps, you need the 46.5" version.. RandalB |
