Mates for my 3 spot gourami

Hi,
I have a 20 gallon tank with 2 (3 spot blue gourami, about 3.5-4 inch each)
and I wanted some suggestions as what else can I add to the tank. I know
gouramis are quite territorial and they donot get so well along with others.
Thanks
Syadwad

Firemouth, Green Terror, Convict, Rainbow cichlid, Acara, misc danios
Giant/Pearl, misc barbs, Pleco, Corys, Kuhlis, Apistos, Swordtails, etc
etc. The problem is not matching to the gouramis, but getting something
to fit in a 20g with them.

Be careful on the male to female ratio. They seem to bug one another more
than the other fish....more than one male is a bad idea. 20 g is quite small
so I agree with the post above....but my major prob was two males one
female....and it still isn't brill with 3 females and one male. Any other
male fish that wants to be dominant also doesn't mix well - for example
Bettas or Rams
