Testing. I can't seem to get a message out.

Your posts are getting out but, before someone else says it, there is
a newsgroup for testing purposes. I for one don't mind test posts
within a group but do prefer it if the header reads "Test" or
something similar so that I can choose to ignore/delete/bung it in the
curry :)
