Parts of star polyps are dead!

Dear friends,
My wife tried to propagate green star polys in my tank a month ago. As a
result, the part of them are dead now.
Do I need to remove the dead part or let it be alone?

Thanks,
Sungwon

I would let them alone - they will not polute water enough to worry about.
Of course if there is not a lot of them (thousands) and tank is big.
