Thought I would try and fix it and find it still doesn't work. I have no
idea why this is OK before sending and then ends up as garbage BUT I feel
compelled to try once more... sorry.....

You're probably using a proportional font. Try pasting it into
something and looking at it in Courier. It's REALLY cute.
