I'm new to this board but have enjoyed reading the useful comments
over the past day or so. I have Cinnamon Clowns, aka Red and Black
Clowns (A. melanopus) which have been spawning for a few months, and
show no signs of slowing down. I currently have a couple of hundred
juveniles which are growing nicely. I have spoken with friends that
are interested in purchasing a few. I have also spoken with my LFS
which is interested in buying some from me. My question to this group
is: do you have any recommendations for finding homes for the excess
juveniles? Thanks

Thanks for the information. I wasn't aware of Aquabid.com - I have
been looking for such a site. I am not opposed to selling them over
the internet and shipping them. I have purchased almost all of my
sal****er livestock via the internet with very few problems. These
clowns tend to be hardy so I would have no reservations shipping them.
I would be interested to hear your experiences with shipping
procedures and your success in marketing and selling fish. Do you
sell to LFS, friends, over the internet, through trade magazines, all
of the above?

If you are comfortable shipping the fish, then you've got it made! I breed
and sell African Cichlids. I ship them out all over the country on a
regular basis. (Just sent one out today actually)
Aquabid.com is a great place to unload fish.
I can help you with the shipping procedures but I am new to sal****er and I
have no idea how well they would fair.

All of the above with the exception of LFS. Most LFSs will only give you
store credit and then at that they want to pay you less than wholesale.

Another benefit of selling via internet is you can make a lil extra money on
the freight if you do it right.

Packing them is a little detailed but I can help you with that when you are
ready.
Maybe you can ship some to me for practice =) LOL

I hope to be finding new homes for the little guys in the next few
weeks. I would like to continue our discussion offline, if possible.
Please email me at .
