Skimmer choices

I don't want to start one of theose Skimmer wars we had here a couple of
years ago, but these things do sometimes get a life of their own.

I've got a 100 gal reef with a 25 gal sump. Currently skimming is by a
Berlin XL driven by an Ocean Runner 6500 ( an Eheim 1060 isn't man enough).

The skimmer is old and leaks a bit but works. However, the back pressure
(the Berlin is a venturi skimmer) takes out Ocean Runner impellers rather
too often, and they aren't always in stock (or even in the country).

My shop suggests a Turboflotor 5000 Baby which seems overkill (but the
Turboflotor 1000 may be a bit small).

Any other ideas / experiences ?

I run my Berlin HO with a Rio 20 HF. Works like a charm.
