I get this quite frequently.. especially with Vals... They obviously get
enough light through the glass to keep growing underneath...

I never see it happen with pinnate leafed plants, though..

It's amazing the plant is not starved of O2 and CO2.

Only on the back and sides. Still not enough for one of my huge swords
though. In the front centre there's barely a couple of inches.

There are several benefits of freshwater aquarium plants. Plants add oxygen to your fish tank, and as a biological filter, can help supplement your aquarium clean. Conversely, carbon dioxide and provide nutrients to plants fish. Aquatic life is good for you too - they look great, makes you look more like an aquarium's natural habitat.

Floating aquarium plants can be achieved in a number of purposes. One of the best applications in your ornamental fish farming. Many fish species use of plant cover, breeding, and provide a safe place in which to lay eggs. These plants include newborns (or newly hatched) fry. This is absolutely critical to the baby fish, they have a place to hide, otherwise they are likely to be eaten by other fish in the tank.
