oups.com... how did you take such and extrordinary picture? I have a dimage z3 digital camera, and it has a "nightshot" mode. I used an old tripod so I wouldn;t get camera shake, becase it keeps the apeture open for a whiel to get enough light. I took 5 segential pics in a row, and then used photoshop cs's ability to make panorama shots. When you take very low light shots like this, you usually get a LOT of noise.. I use Noise Ninja2 to reduce cam noise, and then usd a light gaussian blur to smooth out some of the harsh edges. The original picture is MUCH larger then posted, about 38 MEG in size, and when you downsize images, that also usually sharpens details some. The lights around the pond at christms blue twinkle lights on wire "posts", and tha actual colored lighting is actually colored flood lights we use in the yard. (a red one was front/center, an amber one was on the back trees, and a blue one was facing back right.) Colored lighting makes SUCH a huge difference! You can see our gargoyle spitter (he's about 2-3 foot tall!) but look like a munchkin in the pic! I'm going to take another similar one from a higher angle as soon as I get a clear bright night like that one was again. -- Gareee's Homepage: http://www.fortunecity.com/tattooine.../mainframe.htm Remove Delicious spam to reply |
