Feeding Question
I have a 29G with 1 Strawberry Dottyback, 2 clown fish, a pumping Zenia, sun
polyp and 2 feather dusters. My clownfish won't eat flake food, marine one pellets, frozen marine one, mysis shrimp or brine shrimp. I almost gave up until I shared my talapia dinner with them and they went crazy for it. Of course the dottyback will only eat everything the clowns won't. I've put talapia, mysis shrimp, regular shrimp and frozen formula one in a blender, mushed it up, froze it in a block and now grate some off and feed it. All three fish are now eating well and I also feed it to my sun polyps. Do I need to add anything else to the mix or is this a healthy enough blend? -- Ann R |

You've got some of the easiest fish to feed there are - Clowns will eat
anything and the dottyback, despite being a carnivore isn't generally too fussy. I'd keep on trying to get them on to frozen shrimp - let them starve for a couple of days if it helps, but don't become a slave to fish that can and will happily adjust to a simple basic diet. My clown is nearly 20 years old and my last strawberry dottyback lasted 10 years both feed by fighting for scraps of whatever they can get. Mark "Marc Levenson" wrote in message m...
