RO/DI system question??

I'm looking at getting an RO/DI system and was wandering as the tank comes
with a stainless steel holding tank if anyone knows if this being stainless
steel will be a problem for my reef/fish tanks? I was concerned as I thought
I read somewhere you don't want to keep water in stainless steel before
putting it into your tanks as it could leach some metals?? Anyone have any
ideas on this?

Thanks--Susan

I use one,

No problems at all. The water should go through a final carbon filter when
leaving the tank anyways. (6 stage system)
I have 0 TDS readings on my system..

You can always put a 1/4" tee and a 1/4" check valve to dirrect
fish tank water to a plastic can with a level switch and drink
the water from the pressurized tank connected to the kitchen faucet...

I have water going into the left-over Instant Ocean bucket (6.5 gallons)
I drilled small hole in the wall near the top for the level switch
and my bucket never overflows into my kitchen floor... again :-)
I plan to add pressurized stainless tank to collect water for
the kitchen faucet and use my RO/DI filter for dual purpose:
fish tank water and drinking water.

Now that is a good idea, since we go without drinking water for a couple of
hours after a water change.. (other than what we have in the fridge)
