How to measure the length of a fish?
Just how do people measure the length of a fish? From the mouth to the tip
of the tail? The tail of a goldfish can vary from a fifth to a half of its body and weigh only a fraction of its body weight. Is there a more reliable way to measure fish? |

Standard length does not include the tail. It depends on what you want. |

Tradition says that fish are measured from mouth to base of tail. Tail should not be included in measurments at all. **SS** |
