Thanks, Carla ====================== That will be hard to do without a dechlorinator (unless you have a well) plus a pump and filter. You can use the dechlor' and change the water about every 12 hours. Why not buy a small tank with a pump and filter? Fishkeeping is a great hobby for kids. :-) -- My Pond & Aquarium Pages: http://bellsouthpwp.net/s/h/shastadaisy ~~~ }((((o ~~~ }{{{{o ~~~ }(((((o |

Carla,
Use the cleanest, biggest tub you have around the house (like a Rubbermaid) or new unused bucket, or get one of those clear tubs with a lid. If dish detergent, cleaners, or gunky stuff was stored in it, forget it and go for brand new that's at least 5 gallons capacity. Go to pet store or pet department of Walmart and buy a bottle of dechlor to get the chlorine out of your tap water. Put clean, fresh water that has been treated with the dechlor into the tub. FLOAT your fish in a little plastic bag or other container that will float to equalize the temperature and after 15 minutes or so, let him in. If you can afford it, get a small WHISPER internal filter (about $12-$18 bucks at Walmart) to filter the water. It will hang on the inside of the tub. That should hold you until you decide what to do. nan calberto22 wrote: hello, my son just got a goldfish in a carnival. We do not have a fish tank.
