Wow...what a great company!!
Placed an order for livestock from liveaquaria.com on Dec 26th. Waited for
the order and called them several times to see why I hadn't received it. The last time I called them they said due to them not getting the ball rolling on the order that Dr Race Foster wanted to give me the complete order free!!!! Wow, to my surprise the order arrived today (Around $100 worth) in great shape with no charge!! What a super company!!! How many times in life does a company do things like this for you?? They'll always have my business :) Susan :) |

Susan,
I've also had several good experiences with both liveaquaria.com and drsfostersmith.com. Just recently Drs F&S swapped out a broken wet/dry sump sight unseen (and without making me go through the hastle of shipping the broken one back) and 2nd day'd the replacement to me so it would be here for Christmas. Liveaquaria had a problem with shipping me some live rock and upgraded me to next day air AND refunded me my original shipping charge. All this without asking for any special consideration. They're both good in my book. mark h |

All the dealings with them have been good, no complaints. In another
web form, a person bought a brand new Aqua POd with MH lighting etc, top of the line.......which arrived broken.....and the Drs. company told him to trash it all and they would expedite a new setup out immediately. which arrived by overnight express......at no charge and now he even has a full set of PC and MH lights for another setup or spares........no hoops to junp through just a simple phone call solved it fast and easy. -- \\\|/// ( @ @ ) -----------oOOo(_)oOOo--------------- oooO ---------( )----Oooo---------------- \ ( ( ) \_) ) / (_/ The original frugal ponder! I was just so stunned that a company would do this. I've always had good
experiences with them but this tops it! Sounds like they are very well known for excellent service. A#1 in my book!! :-) Since you mentioned it I bought a Nano Cube Deluxe a while back and haven't set it up yet. (Kind of wish I would have gotten a Aqua Pod). Anyways anyone have any good or bad experiences with the Nano Deluxe? Susan :) "Roy" wrote in message ... All the dealings with them have been good, no complaints. Susan......The NANO cubes by JBJ have a bad track record of
arbitrarily cracking for unknown reasons. More so with the 24 gal than the 2 gal setups but both have had crack issues BIG TIME. JBJ at the time the crack issues started to appear denied any problem, and blamed it on shippers as to causing the problem....The sale of JBJ Nano cubes basically came to a screaching halt, and a large number of LFS that carried them dropped the JBJ line of products.....The three shops in this town all quit selling them......Current USA (Manuf of the AQUA POD, had been following the nano cube crack issues and had their own nano cube made which is very similar to JBJ's......and in the process of waiting for the new cubes by Current to be released, made all kinds of exhuberant claims as to their integrity and construction.......Well the day finally came that the AQUA Pods shipped, and low and behold the Aqua Pods got delivered, and a good portion of them were cracked , mainly from the way they were originally packed and from shipping compnaies handling. They promptly replaced all cracked cubes.......then they started to get the cubes setup, and more problems came up.......Some lights were improperly wired and had the potential to shock you, others could not turn on or off the lights. Instead of sending out repair parts and fixes, Current started to just ship brand new complete cubes to those with problems......and now there have even been a few that showed up that were not cracked during shipping but cracked just like the JBJ nano's did a short time after setup.......So buying an Ap or NC from one or the other is still an iffy situation. Its still way to early to put any long term faith in the AP since they have a very short history of use so far, but at least Current is taking big steps for customer satisfaction and not sidestepping issues. The glass thickness on the both cubes are pretty much identical. The AP comes with a better pump and lighting, (ballasts are much better quality) but it all stillcomes down to the glass cube itself.......minut scratches during manufacture turn into cracks later on, so I would notify JBJ and tell em you got this new unused cube, but your afraid to set it up, as their warranty period is from date of purchase, so you could be cutting your own throat further down the road if it does crack on you......Better to set it up, make sure its on a firm level stand. Tell JBJ you purchased this setup and read all the articles posted about problems and the sotre would not take it back, and at least that way they know the thing is unused due to problems you read about, and maybe then if something happens when you do set up the cube they will take care of the problem. No sense letting your warranty expire while it sets there unused. JBJ made claims they eliminated cracking issues with thicker glass but there is still a large amount of them developing cracks that consist of the later release of tanks with the so called thicker glass... IMHO the best deal for a NANO type setup is the Finnex M tank.. however its about 2x the money of a standard JBJ or AP, but its solid and made of acrylic. Thanks Roy for the information. Mine happens to be a 12 gallon deluxe. I
bought it before the 24 gallon Nano tanks came on the market. What is really strange is I had one that I received and opened the box and there was blood splattered all over!! Yep, blood! I take it someone got cut in the factory and it made a mess in some of the boxes. I know it wasn't paint as I'm a nurse and can tell blood when I see it. I call Petsolutions where I purchased it and felt crazy telling them this. I returned it and they sent me another. Never had such a strange thing happen when I purchased something :o) I wandered then how well their quality control is. Susan :) "Roy" wrote in message ... Susan :) WOW..thats a new one.I have read all kinds of weird things and conditions that numerous foks received their JBJ Nano's in but thats a first. Seems to add to the fact that there probably is no quality control on any of their products anymore........but then again that is true of just about anything anymore, no matter what it costs or who makes it....its the new American trend. -- \\\|/// ( @ @ ) -----------oOOo(_)oOOo--------------- oooO ---------( )----Oooo---------------- \ ( ( ) \_) ) / (_/ The original frugal ponder!
