Possible Reasons for small foliage growth?
Hello all, I recentley replaced the HOB filter on my 10g planted tank.
The anacharis is still growing very quickly, but the new growth has very small leaves (compared to the new growth with the old filter). This filter creates a stronger current than the previous. Could the stronger current be causing smaller leaf growth? The plants do not seem to be nutrient deficient. any thoughts? |

Those by the current look no different than those at the other end of the tank. -- Koi-Lo.... frugal ponding since 1995... Have you changed anything with your lighting? More power? Leave them
on longer? I've noticed that the anacharis doesn't get as thick under high intense light as it does low light. The anacharis I at my LFS is usually a few inches long and rather thick when I buy it, howerver when after it is planted in my tank for a few weeks, it gets very long very quickly, but never stays as thick (I have about 3 watts/gallon). |
