I've introduced today 10 little guys to my 100gallon planted tank.
I really don't have a big algae problem but I don't mind having them eating

I read in some places they prefer soft water and might eat java moss and
some riccia plants.
Does anyone has good/bad experience with them ?

I have some (not sure how many - somewhere between a dozen and 20 I
guess) in a 600 l densely-planted tank.

The water is moderately hard, and they don't seem to mind it. They
did eat my riccia, they haven't eaten my moss, they've done a good job
on teh algae - much the best algae control method I've had.
