alt.aquaria.oscars was created by myself in 1997 as an alternative to what
was then an extremely busy rec.aquaria.freshwater.cichlids. RAFC has gotten
very slow (relatively speaking -- in those days it had over 100 new posts
daily!), and AAO has only one relevant post annually these days -- I think
many people have gone to internet-based forums for discussion, as have I.
alt.aquaria is full of contention and "trolls" as a spillover from wreck
ponds. Currently I am an administrator at Cichlidfish dot com and invite
everyone to visit and join the discussion over there! The link is:
