support of tank?

I got a 55 gal "perfecto" tank & stand this week end.. and I noticed the stand only supports the tank at the ends.. leaving the middle area unsupported.. is this normal ??

If it's a glass tank, you need to support only the edges. If acrylic, then
you must support the whole base.

It certainly is normal and usually quite amazing when first noticed. Whats
really cool is the big 1/4 inch bow in the center of the 29 gallon high
tanks.

My 150 gallon tanks is held on the ends with little skinny square tubing
with the lateral rails not touching nothing in between. You could just use
cinder blocks on each end if you wanted too.
