two bettas in a partitioned tank?
Hello,
I already have one male betta.. I was offered another male betta from someone who can't keep him... (moving) I'm running out of tanks and tank space.. is it ok to put both betta in the same tank (5 gal tank) with a mesh partition between them? or would that be too cruel and stressful since they'll keep flaring at eachother through the screen? Linda Decorate the tank with some tall plants, slate, etcetera, so that they don't have to see each other all the time and they should be ok. Also, a glass or acrylic divider would probably be better, and easier to keep clean. levittd |

yes. I was thinking about the rigid plastic grid type that will hold its
own shape... seems like this is do-able. :-) now time to go shopping for the divider... linda "levittd" wrote in message . ca... snip Also, a glass or acrylic divider would probably be better, and easier to keep clean. levittd Unless of course you meant rigid plastic grid. wow. what a clever idea! thank you for the web site! I'll probably make
good use of it! (I can easily house the betta in a smaller container until the larger tank is ready! so this will help me a lot.. thank goodness for labyrinth fish...) linda "Eric Schreiber" wrote in message ... It may not apply to you if you're dealing with a tank that's already up and running instead of a new install, but it's worth looking at. -- www.ericschreiber.com |
