External Gestation of Livebearers.

The molly I had that was pregnant and behaving oddly died. When I
found her I immediately opened her up and removed the fertilized eggs
to the fry portion of my breeding cage. Is there much hope that the
eggs will continue to develop without the mother? Other than
protection I'm not sure that the mother provides anything to the eggs.

Thanks, John Lynch

It's been my experience that the eggs stop developing outside the womb.
Let us know what you find out.
