Put food coloring in tank?
I guess this is a very bad idea, but I thought I might as well ask here. I
have NOT done it, and probably never will. Anybody ever try to tint the water blue-green a bit? -- Anti-Spam address: my last name at his dot com Charles Gillen -- Reston, Virginia, USA |

based on the fact that humans consume loads of it, and I believe it is made
of food grade stuff, I think it would be okay to add it..try a drop -- a small drop per gallon or two....I think it would be exactly like any DOC. maybe you can call the food coloring company and ask... I can see no harm in this besides maybe to those who view this tank ;) "Charles Gillen" wrote in message ... I guess this is a very bad idea, but I thought I might as well ask here. About a year (plus) ago, somebody posted about their dad adding medications to the fish tank (mal green) just before parties though... -D -- "When you've lost your ability to laugh, you've lost your ability to think straight." -To Inherit the Wind |

I've been doing this for a long time, and intellectually can't see any harm in it, but I agree with you. Anything I don't need in my tank, and or can't prove beyond a doubt is safe, I leave in the open air. The health of my fish isn't worth a party stunt. |
