Using Amquel+ with ICH medication

I am using Rid Ich as an Ich treatment. A 25 percent water change is
recommended before each new dose of the medication. My tap water contains
chloramines. I verified this using a standard dechlorinator then doing an
ammonia test. Amquel+ detoxifies the ammonia but it's label also says it
reacts with malachite green making the Rid Ich medication less useful. I
don't want to further stress the fish by adding ammonia to the tank with the
partial water changes.

Has anyone used Amquel+ for the partial water changes and had success with
Rid Ich or any other Ich medication using malachite green/formalin? Any
other suggestions?

TIA,
Jim

Using Amquel+ with ICH medication

I have had success using Rid Ick and Stress Coat. I had the occasion to
use these products together only one time.

I saw a little 2-1/2 inch Oscar laying on the bottom back of a tank at
Wal-Mart. The ick was flowing, on most of it's little body.

After I paid the $10.00 ransom, I made a filter-less 20 gal hospital
tank using Rid Ick. It took almost a month. But today this Oscar is a
big fat butthead who has taken over my life :-) ... I wouldn't take a
$1000.00 for her today!!
