[including kidnap/things too horrible to describe]. Even some people can find out your identity and where you stay from your email address, so don't disclose that. Also many chat rooms provide the facility for a hacker to break into your computer without a password and take files (either delete, move or copy) to his own computer. This could be your address book both physical in the real world, or email. Also could include credit card details that your parent(s) have inputted into a secure site. It could include your address and telephone number, all by the hacker accessing your computer and copying files. All they need is a number [IP address] which is broadcast across the internet when such activities as using chat rooms are performed. Even confidential patient information e.g. if your parent(S) were nurses/doctors e.t.c. could be transferred in addition to secret business plans for a new product or company accounts while they are confidential [could be transferred].
