Fish traps
I need to snare a purple surgeon. He's too big for my tank, and being
rather a bully. Any recomendations, or good products for it? Mike |

One method is to start feeding him out of the net, and
then one day pulling him out with the net. Wayne Sallee Wayne's Pets wrote on 3/18/2006 7:50 PM: I need to snare a purple surgeon. He's too big for my tank, and being rather a bully. Any recomendations, or good products for it? Mike |

Thats the way I finally wound up catching a solitary peppermint shrimp that I wanted to relocate to another tank......I had no trouble at all with the cleaner shrimp going right up into the net, but that peppermint was sly and sneeky. I finally had to remove the pair of cleaners first, then wait on the peppermint or I would still have been doing nothing but feeding the cleaners. or http://cgi.ebay.com/FISH-TRAP-Live-C...QQcmdZViewItem or You can use a pole with a #6 hook baited with some yummy algae and squid. Bottom line, use a fish trap or like the others have said feed food above the net and snag it. This is the only reason I don't buy Tangs. Beautiful fish, lots of personality. Get TOO BIG for most aquariums. Chris wrote in message ... I need to snare a purple surgeon. He's too big for my tank, and being rather a bully. Any recomendations, or good products for it? Mike |

I never had to use one, but I would try the one from eBay.
Looks interesting and it's cheap. I've bought from this seller before, honest guy. wrote in message ...
