Feedback on CPR's CS150 overflow

Hello,
I have spent the last couple of days setting up a 180 tank after having to
move it.
I changed my overflows from using the U shaped siphons to CPR's CS150
overlow and changed the return pump from a MAG 7 to a MAG12. The overlow
is very loud and gurgling - any suggestions to try?
If the overflow looses siphon, I am concerned the tank wil overflow -
anyone had this?
