I followed the directions to the letter, I purchased a new mag 5 drive, I
cant get it to stop leaking.. does anyone have any types i could try?

I've made this contraption as well...What exactly is leaking ?
The only problem I've ever had is with my mag 9.5 sucking in air.

Their is probably a better pump out there to use with a closed loop.
Like the Coralife Mag pumps.

its leaking on the out-put of the drive. All the pvc fittings i have the PVC
cement, the threaded fittings I'm using Teflon tape. any suggestions?

the water to the tank

Ok, so it is leaking from the threads on the outlet. Just
take it off, and put some more thread tape on it, and
retighten it.

But personaly I'm not a big fan of thread tape. I like
using dow corning non curing silicone product # 111.
