Tank leaks!

My 75gal tank is accumulating salts on its edge. It has to be a leak but I
was wondering if it is normal or should I just transfer everything to a new
tank?
Is not a big deal but worries me.

Tank leaks!

Yes it's normal for tanks to leak. That's how we all do
our water changes. It makes the carpet rather crunchy, but
it sure makes water changes a lot easier. hehehe

Tank leaks!

I found this article helpful. Your tank should be ok.

Hopefully your tank is leaking toward the top and not the bottom.

On its edge? Top edge or one of the side seams? If it's the top edge,
maybe it's just salt creep or the plastic rim on the tank isn't sealed
down tight. If it's dripping down a seal, it might not be a big deal
now, but it will if the seam gives.

Tank leaks!

It is more like a sweat on the bottom seam. The moisture is coming over the
top of the seam and water doesn't drip. I know it is happening for the salt
accumulation. It only happens on one corner.
Thanks!

Tank leaks!

My old 29G tank did this for years, it was nothing more than a minor
inconvenience.

David

PS I scraped off the salt and put it back in the tank.
