New reef aquarium fan
hej, we live in northern europe, and have experimented with reef
aquariums. Our live rocks (filled with algae, anemones, seaplants and tiny brushworms) are growing great.. and we just found a little, white hairy crab inside, which is getting ready to leave his crevices (probably getting too small for him)... I would like some links to info about feeding these anomones and tiny animals. how do we make our own phytoplankton.. we have experiemented with making small plankton-like animals out of banana peels, which has been great so far.. but I don't think these animals can live on bananas and shrimp alone.. we are trying to be self-sufficient and not buy all kinds of stuff... any ideas?? My boyfriend has had aquariums forever, and reef aquarium for 10 years, but there has been little or no information available in our country, so its been learning by doing. Now the internet opens for the possibility of trading ideas and experiences...anybody want to be a penfriend?? Best wishes and good luck with the fishes... Hannah and Kenn |
