African Lobsters
 

I saw what the store owner described to me as an African Lake (Malawi I
think) Lobster in a LFS. About 3 inches long. I'm thinking of picking it up
and adding it to my 55 gal with my two other exiting fish (Frontosa - Hand
sized 3 years old and Yellow Lab - 4 inch 5 years old). Store owner says
they require no special care. That they eat normal cichlid food and don't
really interact with existing fish.

Well... is all that true? Anyone have any advice on this?

They will wait until they can grab any unsuspecting fish they can on the
bottom for a meal.

Oh no. My fish sleep on the bottom. Will that be a problem? They're fair
size (4-5 inches length). Although I plan on buying more, I'll stick with
larger ones (3 inches or so). What do you think?

How big do these Lobsters get anyway? I was guessing they stayed about the
same size (3 inches). Yes?

bulldoze your gravel, chop up ya plants, open gaping joker grins on your
valuable breeder girls mouths when they wander into his lair, then almost
get killed by the fish during moulting only to escape and crawl under the
couch to become 'what the f is that smell' thing for 6 months until couch is
moved and desicated remains recovered.
Don't get me wrong, crays are great pets, lecky blue marron I'm lookin at
you and thats not to talk shizen on the murray spiny either!!!
but they cause carnage and wounds
