This little fella has got to be one of a kind. I have had them before
and also have another one in another tank, but this one is totally
different.
It constantly attacks the multitde of mud whelks in the tank, and is
very good at sucking that snail out of the shell. It has a pile of
empty shells outside its cave, like folks pile up oyster shells aftyer
shucking them.

Then I seen it go after what I had thought was a bristle worm. It was
mouthing somehtng so I kept watching it. It spit out a balled up
bristle worm, and then imediately scarfed it back up and started to
mouth it....spit it out again, and just like before, scarfed it
backup, but this time he swallowed it. I did not see it spit it out
again, but after it stopped mouthing it and rolling it around in its
mouth, it once again started to scoop up sand and filter it through as
it usualy does.......since then I have seen it consume other bristle
worms as well........It also picks at asternia stars, gets ahold of
them and carries them into his cave and imediately returns. I do not
know what he does with them or if he even consumes them or maybe he
just collects them for a hopbby ;-) The other yellow watchman we have
just does the typical watchman goby thing, sifts sand, and watches the
world go by. nothng unusual in its habits....This one is like a loner
or hermit. There is a pistol shrimp in there with it, but it pays it
no attention, The other YWG, hangs tight with his pistol shrimp
buddy..

The bristle worm thing is interesting.
I guess fish do have individual personalities.
I have a clown fish that picks off Bristle worms.
Same thing, bite, spit, bite, spit and swallow.

Hey they can't be all that bad...except for the stinging part.

Everyone is not your latest victims Carol, Gail, Ed etc. You need to stop
trolling and destroying other newsgroups to feed your ego and build your low
self esteem. You need to get back to the VA hospital where they can help
you overcome your warped obsessions with these innocent people you're
victimizing Roy Tristan Hauer. Slandering others and net stalking them from
one NG to another isn't making you a hero in anyone's eyes but your own.

OK, they don't exeactly sting, but what DO you call the intense pain
they inflict when the bristles get into ones flesh?

Well Add Homonym, since you were among one or two others that have
belived me and trusted me and not got wrapped up with Wayne and his
cronies and the troll infestation caused by Carol Gulley, I will
give you an honest answer.

The fine hairs do nothng more than penetrate the skin, much like a sea
urchin spines would, and the film on them is what makes them burn like
fire....Along the same lines of installing fiberglass insulation., The
glass slivers gets in the skin and irritates it, but at least
fiberglass does not have a film of irritant on it...

Instant or pretty quick releif of bristle worm irritation is to wash
off with fresh water, and then soak in vinegar, or wash off in fresh
water, blow dry with hair drier, apply a piece of sticky tape or a
thin smear of super glue over the area, and then peel off tape or peel
off usper glue. This method us good at pulling the bristles out of the
skin. They do not really penetrate all that deep, for them to be
effective in getting irritated and burning sensation..Benedryl lotion
is very good to apply once bristles have ben removed or neutralized.
Regards

We now return yu to your regular infestatin of trolling posts by CArol
Gulley aka Ocean Breeze, aka Reel McKoi, aka Zebulon, aka well there
are just too many to mention.

I don't think carol even sees posts here that ain't crossposted to
rec.ponds.koi or whatever the froup for those "oversize goldfish" lovers
is in.

Now, if'n i was gonna troll there, I'd put up a post about how I dumped
about 2 cases of amquel in a local public pool, snuck into my neighbors
yard at night and relocated all of his koi to public pool down the road...

Oh, and I'd do it from an altopia account, but I'd insert convincing
looking NNTP posting host headers, and munge the hell outta the path
(WITHOUT the double alt.net that Chris Caputo asks for if one is
preloading the path!), etc. Easy enough to do if notepad and telnet are
used in conjunction as your news client. Oh, and for good measure, sign
the post "Bad Jessness" or some other overly sensitive kook.

Or perhaps I'd just troll from my databasix account, and LMAO when Mr.
Burnore snubs those who lart.

This personal crap between you and Carol is just plain boring. No skill.
No style. No real substance. And from motzerella at that. Not even from
a decent rogue news provider. Motzerella is just a wannabe UDP nominee.

I enjoy a good flooded crossposted flamewar as much as the next kook,
but this ain't a good one.

Boring. Boring. Boring. Boring.

You need more/better kooks involved. Carol and you and all the socks
just ain't cuttin it.

Might try something like emailing Barbara schwarz and telling her carol
knows where her real husband is. Sumpthin like that. You needs some
serious fireworks if you really want attention.

Now go run along and play with the other amateur disruptive posters...
