Current USA Sunpod
Does anyone have any experience with the Current USA Sunpod fixtures? This
would be my first MH fixture, and I'm a little concerned that even the 150 watt version (2-150 watt lamps, no actinics) will push the temp of the tank (75 gallon, all softies and one LPS) up past an acceptable range if mounted on the tank (do not really want to hang the fixture, if avoidable). Anyone using this type of fixture already, if so I would appreciate any experiences you have had. Thanks - Patrick |

No telling what temp your house is kept at as ambient temp plays a part in tank temps as well. Odds are MH will add to your tanks temp, so buy a chiller or suspend it. IMNSHO MH is kind of overkill for what you have inthe tank ain't it? Not considering the cost of the light assembly you can also count on your power bill to relect the increase as well. How about when its heating season (assuming you live in an area where its imperiative to have heat in the winter / fall or early spring months and AC in summer months.....Sure is a ot of money for something that really is not needed if things have been doing fine all this time, and can only add to heat issues which may or may not be able to be overcome.,................without additional expenses. |
