Sally Lightfoot - RIP
I had two sally lightfoots but one died over the weekend. (I'm pretty sure it was the real thing and not an exo-skeleton.) Question is: what did it die from? I think it was doing fine living off my algae and I've been seeing them grab nori when it floats by. Do I need to supplement their diet now that I have my tank cleaned up? Or, do they just go through senescence and that's it? --Kurt |

Sally Lightfoot - RIP
When things like that shed their skin, I just leave
it in the tank to contribute to the live rock. When small things die, I just leave them in, and the worms and pods get a treat, and a lot of other critters too. To tell if it is a dead crab, or just a shed, smell it. If it does not smell bad, and it's been in there for a few hours, it is just a shed.
