My Fluval 304 is leaking!
So, I finally got the 304 set up and running again. It worked great.
I was all set to order a spray bar for it. And then.... Seems I plugged it into an outlet that is controlled by a light switch. I turned the lights off at night, and the 304. It should not have been a big deal, but I woke up to a pretty nasty puddle on the floor, and my water level down about 2 inches. Not a massive leak, but still not what I want. So, any idea what would make a Canister filter leak when off, but not leak when on? Andy |

Hi Andy They tend to leak less when running as most (if not all) canister filters are under vacuum and not under pressure..... *All the ones I ever had pump out of the canister, not into it....... Ok, you got me there. :-) Either way, the 300 is where I am staying. If anyone wants to buy a used Fluval 304, let me know. Andy |
