Mote Marine Aquarium Pictures - Sarasota, FL

We went to the Mote Marine Aquarium in Sarasota a few weeks ago when
we were visiting the Tampa area. It's on the AZA (Association of Zoos
& Aquariums) list of "reciprocal" attractions so we were able to get
in for free with our membership cards.

They had a nice collection of freshwater creatures and also of course
a bunch of ocean critters. It wasn't a huge place but I think it would
have been worth the $17 per adult admission price if we hadn't got in
for free.

My favorite part was watching the manatees put on a show for us when
we approached the tank. They both went swimming by doing barrel rolls
as they passed each other going the opposite way.

If you plan on being in the area, I highly recommend a visit. Even if
the cost is a bit high for what you get, you're helping to support the
research of their laboratories.

Cheers,
