just reading through the post about the frontosas. wondering if the same
rules apply to aulonocara? obviously I would need more vege matter for these guys, but other than that, same rules?? and what are people's opinions of dried brine shrimp, do you think they are just as good. |

Dried brine shrimp would be fine, frozen BS even better and live the best.. I am going to presume this is an Herbivore? So not much protien in the diet would be best.. I often feed the many varities of fish I have fresh frozen deshelled peas. for a treat.. Water changes seem to be one of the major compnents in the growth of fish.. Seems true from the Koi all the way to Frontosa.. I have got a lot of growth from my fry ( at times a 1/4 inch a week..) by maintaining frequent and consistant water changes.. Numerous small ones ( 3 of them ) during a week period of about 10% seems to have worked fine for myself.. Water temperature also plays a role. As stated in the original thread I started, the higher the temps the rigourous the water changing needs to be, the water pollutants tend to be a problem with higher temps... M intrest was help others intrested in growth rates of thier finned friends as well as reinforcing my own thoughts. Happy fish keeping.. Tim |
