I have recently put in a BTA in my tank (like a week ago) and he is not
looking so hot. Like a small part of his body (~1/8) is curled up
really small, the rest of him looks fine with his tentacles...

Microbubbles

As I have read in other posts, 90 degree turns before the pump can
cause cavitation (microbubbles). I took it out yesterday and have a
straight pipe leading to the pump. No bubbles now at all. ...

shrimp to start cycle

I put 2 frozen shrimp (decent size) in my 85 gal aquarium to start the
cycle about 5-6 days ago and now its starting to stink a bit lol.
Think im going to pull them babys out. Anything else work ok,...

silicon seals, when to add fish, micro bubbles, etc... :P

Also, I forgot to add that I put in softened water in to the aquarium.
I was going to add hard water from a faucet outside till I realized
that that was going to be hard water and I put in soft...

I just set up a 85 gallon Oceanic tank (3 holes drilled in back, 2
drain out with overflow boxes 1 return), with about a 15-20 gallon sump
with a Iwaki MD40RLXT return pump. I am using Instant Ocean...
