Identifying a slimey little "bug"
ok, point taken. No need to answer the question several times over and over
in one email. "Binary" is clear now.
I'm sure this etiquette came about during the days of dail-up and 80mb hard...

Identifying a slimey little "bug"
George,
I'm not sure what the "binary" part means. How do I make sure it is flagged

Sounds to me like you're saying pics can be ok, did I get that...

removing coralline algae
His tank is actually very healthy. He doesn't have a jungle of corals but
the ones he has placed are doing very well. I wish he had a pic of it on

Scutus
Oh I missed a part of your question...
I haven't read anywhere that they are toxic. If something should happen to
the scutus, your tank should be fine.
By the way, the people before me didn't know...

Exotec,
Hey awesome summary. Which inexpensive RO/DI did you get? Maybe you can
tell me, why would I care about a 100 gpd versus a 35 gpd if I'm only doing
water changes every week or two? I...

George, thanks for the advice and tips. Sounds like you got the water
change to a perfect process. I'll get another powerhead and let it do the
