pressure filter
I would highly suggest a veggie filter rather than a pressure filter. Goldfish and
koi are very "dirty" and pressure filters channel and then anaerobic fermentation
starts in which can make hydrogen...

what kind of animals in the pond? in spring fish and frogs, etc. spawn and that
creates all kinds of foam. this could combine with pollens, like pine tree pollen to

First I would like to say crystal clear water IN A POND is often a sign of deadly

my veggie filter is my biofilter. I DO have a bucket that contains my pump and over
that is some filter material to mainly keep the pump from getting fouled with stuff.
but it also works in winter...

bio filter blocking
replace the biofilter media. it just gets silted up and wont rinse out very well
