Yes, you can. I soak it a month or so, changing the water once a Period of time, then it for some time in the sun, then soaked until stay submerged itself, and then put it in the tank.

Thanks, I know I'm just not used to SAE abbreviations. A Chinese eat algae over the years, he let my tank clean. But I guess, When I add more light, he may not be able to handle the increased algae.
