I suspect that there are different kinds of "ulcers" to fight with. I have
a big, 25-year-old koi that has had an ulcer of some kind on its back all
its life. He flashes occasionally...

I collected a long string of eggs once and put them in my pond. But I
didn't realize they were toad tadpoles eggs. All hatched out fine, grew
legs, sat for a day on the lily pads and disappeared. ...

I imported a dozen big bullfrog tadpoles from a company. They all looked
fine -- second year tadpoles. Some had hind legs starting. #12 died. As
an experiment, I let #11 out of his protection...
