I want to let my koi spawn, because I want new fish but I don't want to
quarantine them. I have prevented hatching by not providing cover, so the
eggs are eaten up. What do y'all think of this...

My MIL had a large goldfish that did that. He went on that way for a little
over a year and then suddenly started to decline. It seemed at the time
that the trouble began when she netted him out...
