Normal costs for maintenence?

Thanks to everyone for their heads up advice.
I've also checked a few other shops including a Ford dealer and the estimates
from them are a bit lower than the ones I got from the independent shop....

anyone thought these were normal or excessive.

Cruise Control in Crapper '03 XLT

With only 55k miles on this '03 am I surprised the cruise control has crapped

Differential Leak- follow up .

I made my trip with no problem, put the car in a shop for an eval. Leaking from
one or both axle seals. My dealer wants $500 to replace the seals. $100 parts
kit, $370 labor and $30+ for shop...
