any addition in the lines of a sump will be better for the tank in several
ways.

first it adds more working volume to the tank, and therefore gives you more
dilution to the pollution.

it also gives great gas exchange when the water comes from the overflow down
to the sump, this also (if set up correctly) skims the surface of the tank
and removes the 'oil' film that builds up when not surface skimmed.

then you have the added joy of getting unsightly equipment out of the
display tank.

it...I'm
just thinking of going for the sump so I can clear out my 33g since it's
not
that big to begin with.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm going to build a little electrical circuit too so it's all inside my
stand. I'm one of the neat and tidy kinda guys.

Another thing too, since my power compact light has the 10000k and the
actinic, should I set the timer so one light turns on before the other in
the morning and turns off at night? or is it alright for both to come on
and
turn off at the same time?
