Well my first coral (green star polyps) died I think. The day before
yesterday they were opened and looking great, but yesterday they were only
half open, and then today they were all retracted and wouldn't open. I took
my water to the LFS yesterday to have it checked. (I have a test kit at
home, but don't have a refractometer) Well they said my salinity was a
little high at 1.026. They keep theirs at 1.024. ph was 8.2 ammonia,
nitrite, and nitrate were all 0. alkalinity was 240ppm.

My temp was a little higher than normal at 82F and the salinity had went up
a bit. (My RO unit broke and I'm looking into replacements) but other than
that, I think that was the only changes.

When the polyps wouldn't open today, I did put it in a little bit better
spot with more flow, and more light. However this afternoon there was still
nothing opened.

Is there anything I can do? Or did this coral die on me that fast?

They are very tuff. Trust me. They close when things walk on them.
